does verizon phone insurance cover water damage?
i called today because i dropped my phone in a puddle.. fell outta my purse as i was jumping over it. They said since its only been 30 days since i got my phone i can add insurance and then wait a few days and call the insurance people and they should send me a referb. but i always heard they didn't cover water damange ? they said il just probably have to pay between 50- 80 dollars to replace it after i call.. anyone hear of this?
I've dropped a phone in water - I had the insurance on it at the time that I dropped it and it was covered. Had a 50 deductible. They tried to tell me that the refurbished phone did not come with a battery and I had to pay an additional 50 for that (on top of the deductible). I argued with them....when you purchase a phone new...it comes with a battery. Eventually they worked it out so I did not have to pay extra to get a battery.
